Commissioned Sales Position--Cherries and Chocolate!

We are accepting applications from positive, outgoing, energetic, cherry and chocolate loving individuals for a fast-paced sales position at Chukar Cherries in the main arcade of Pike Place Market.

Job Description: Primary duties include enticing market visitors to stop, educating them about our company and products, and converting them into loyal customers!

To be successful in this position, the following traits and skills are REQUIRED:

• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven selling and customer service abilities
• Ability to multi-task and control crowds
• Work effectively independently or as part of a team
• Goal oriented and willing to go the extra mile to make sales targets
• Positive, energetic and friendly demeanor with a good sense of humor
• Ability to work in all types of weather (we are in the open-air part of Pike Place Market)
• Ability to lift ~50 lbs and stand for full 5- to 7-hour shift
• Good cash handling skills
• Punctual and reliable

Other traits that are strongly desired include:

• Experience opening and closing a cash register
• Knowledge of gourmet foods
• Knowledge of Pike Place Market
• Enjoy cooking or baking
• Live close to Pike Place Market or within easy bus-riding distance
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays

All employees work on a part-time basis (2-4 shifts a week). Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays. Booth open every day 9am-6pm.
