Chukar Cherry Company is voluntarily recalling specific 'Best By' dates of products containing pistachios from Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. due to potential contamination with the Salmonella organism. We have received no reports of illness related to Chukar® products containing pistachios; the company is issuing this recall as a precaution. This potential contamination is not related to the recent peanut/peanut butter recalls.
This voluntary recall affects products containing roasted shelled pistachios shipped on or after October 27, 2008. The affected Chukar® products are as follows:
*The 'Best By' date will be on the back label on any bags and on the bottom of tins.

Confirm that your Chukar® product containing pistachios is within the affected 'Best By' dates listed above. Only products within affected 'Best By' dates will be eligible for product refunds.
Return Product to Place of Purchase
Return affected product to original place of purchase, even if partially consumed. Refunds will only be processed at original store of purchase. Do not return product directly to Chukar Cherry Company unless product was bought directly from Chukar.com or the Chukar Mail Order Catalog.
