Grilled Sweet and Sour Chicken

  • 4-6 chicken breasts
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules or 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 3 green onions bias sliced in 1/2'' long pieces
  • 1 cup fresh Northwest Sweet Cherries


Grill chicken over medium coals 12 to 15 minutes until tender and no longer pink, turning once. Combine remaining ingredients (minus cherries). Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thick and bubbly. Stir in fresh cherries. Heat through and serve over chicken breasts with rice. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
