Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until dried cherries are soft and plump, about 25 minutes. Cool, cover and chill at least 1 hour. Refrigerate up to 1 week. Serve cherries with syrup in sherbet dishes or glass bowls. Yields 3 to 4 servings.
