Preheat broiler. Brush large baking sheet with olive oil.
In large bowl, gently toss the apple & pear slices with 1/4 cup olive oil and minced fresh rosemary.
Arrange fruit in single layer on baking sheets. Broil fruit until tender, turning sheet pan for even browning and removing pan from oven when edges of fruit begin to brown (about 5 minutes). Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper.
Transfer fruit to platter. Let stand at room temperature until ready to serve.
