Chocolate Cherry Tartlets

Easy 60 minutes Serves
These beautiful tartlets combine rich dark chocolate with decadent dessert cherries creating a sweet treat that you’ll want again and again.


    Tart Shells
  1. 2 ¾ all purpose flour
  2. 1 tsp baking soda
  3. ½ tsp baking powder
  4. ¼ tsp salt
  5. 1 cup butter (softened)
  6. 1 ½ cups white sugar
  7. 1 egg
  8. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  1. 2 cups dark chocolate chips or baking chocolate roughly chopped
  2. ½ cup Chukar® Dessert Cherries (chopped)
  3. ½ cup juice from Chukar® Dessert Cherries


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  1. In small bowl combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  1. In a large bowl combine softened butter and sugar; beat until creamy. Then beat in egg and vanilla. Slowly add in dry ingredients until well combined.
  1. Grease a mini muffin/cupcake pan. Place about 1 Tablespoon of dough into each cup, and press up sides, making a shell. Repeat in all cups.
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Let pan cool for 15+ minutes before removing your tart shells.
  1. Set aside and begin making the filling.
  1. Heat chopped Chukar® Dessert Cherries and juice from Chukar® Dessert Cherries until simmered.
  1. Place chocolate in a bowl. Remove cherries from heat and pour over chocolate. Whisk until chocolate is melted and well combined with cherries. Let filling cool 20-30 minutes.
  1. Pour filling into each tart shell and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  1. Serve with an extra Dessert Cherry on top!
